Our Story, Then

In 1947, Gino Russo started making ravioli in his basement on Taft Road in Mt. Auburn. He would make them by hand and sell them to local restaurants and bars. He would also sell them to friends and family. He would make them on Friday and Saturday nights and deliver them on Sunday mornings.

In 1954, he opened a small store on McMillan Street in Mt. Auburn. He would make ravioli in the back and sell them in the front. He would also sell other Italian specialties like spaghetti sauce, meatballs, and Italian sausage. He would make everything by hand and sell it fresh.

In 1960, he moved the store to a larger location on McMillan Street. He would continue to make everything by hand and sell it fresh. He would also continue to deliver to local restaurants and bars. He would also continue to sell to friends and family.
